The ask
FOX wanted fans talking about Grease Live before and during the broadcast, and sharing it. A social campaign that felt like the movie, not an ad for it.
What we built
Photo upload and compositing. Fans add a selfie and come out as a T-Bird or a Pink Lady on a Rydell High yearbook page.
One-tap sharing with a trackable link for every photo, so FOX could measure reach share by share.
No app, no account, no personal info. Every step we removed was one less reason to quit.
Art direction from the film: letterman-jacket textures, period type, yearbook layouts.
The hard part
A deadline pinned to a live broadcast date, and a photo flow that had to work on whatever phone a fan had in hand. Building for the browser instead of the app stores removed the install step, which is where most campaign apps lose people.
